Who We Are: We, the members of D2 Strong, in order to form a more informed, connected, and empowered community, establish this Constitution for the purpose of promoting information, communication, justification, and education throughout our community and the city of San Antonio, TX. Recognizing the strength that lies in unity and shared knowledge, we commit ourselves to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community that thrives on transparency, collaboration, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Meet The Team

Rev. Patrick Jones

Organizing Member/Former President

Rev. Patrick J. Jones is a native of San Antonio, and proud Dist. 2 resident. I have Pastored Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church now 32 years. I have been active in the community over 34 years. I'm married to Damita McGarity-Jones.

Rev. Dr. W. Raymond Bryant

Rev. Dr. Bryant is The Presiding Elder of The San Antonio District of The African Methodist Episcopal Church. He currently leads the San Antonio Million Garden Project, is on the Leadership Team for Knowledge Is Power Learning Centers and serves on The Board of Elders For The Sankofa Institute for African American Leadership Development at Oblate Seminary in San Antonio, Texas. He is also adjunct professor for Turner Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kevin A. Toney

Keith A. Toney and his wife Rose have lived in San Antonio for 32 years. They are parents of four and have five grandchildren. Rose is a United States Army Retiree and Keith is a Vietnam veteran and former District 2 City of San Antonio, Councilman.

Brother Greg Jackson

October 21, 1995, Brother Greg started Unity, an acronym for Uniting Neighbors in Training Youth Program. The Unity concept stems from an old-fashioned practice of neighbor helping neighbor.

Kathleen Carter-Stiggers

Kathleen (Queen) Carter-Stiggers is and author, a former 3rd Vice President of the San Antonio Chapter of the NAACP. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation, San Antonio Community Relations Director, D2 Strong Secretary, a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and a Charter Member (2010) and Officer of the NCNW (The National Council of Negro Women Inc.), Ruth Jones McClendon section.
